Happy Halloween! This month we celebrate Halloween icons and the Black Cat is as synonymous with the holiday as the jack-o-lantern. Dark as night, cool, mysterious, irreverent guardians, it’s no wonder how they became so feared, blameful of calamity, and deemed witches’ familiars, cats simply appear to have their own agenda.
At long last, our Halloween dreams are about to become reality. Halloween Dreams, that’s our theme this beautiful September, the first of the ‘Ber months. Stay tuned, as I will soon reveal the Halloween celebration plans, which includes the 3rd Annual Halloween Haiku Contest. Sharpen those pencils, I have really nice prizes to give away this year.
I wish everyone a joyous, memorable, fun-filled Halloween season!🎃🎃🎃

One starry night, I saw a black cat looking up at the moon.
Do you think animals wonder about the moon? We certainly know lunar cycles have an affect on animal behaviors, but I can’t seem to find the answer to whether they admire the moon and star gaze like people.
World renowned artist Aja Trier picks up where van Gogh left off, by painting animals, landscapes, famous cities, and more under the infamous starry night. With titles like ‘The Haunting of van Gogh’ and ‘van Gogh Never Saw Las Vegas’, Ms. Trier is clearly inspired by the doomed Impressionist and her works are more tribute than imitation.
Happy Caturday! This month is dedicated to the witches call, a feeling or vibe one gets when exposed to the elements. There are many types of witches, kitchen, green, divination, cosmic, etc, etc. Pay attention to how the natural world draws you in. The power is inside you. Coven or no coven, follow the path. Ignoring the call only delays the inevitable.
March is a magical month. It’s women’s month. It’s a witches’ month. Winter is winding down and we should take time to relax and replenish a little before we get busy on spring tasks. I know 2021 was off to a shaky start, but I hope things are turning around, wherever you are.

We’re kicking off Wicked Art Wednesdays this Halloween 2020 season with one of my favorites, Artist and Designer, Jeff Granito!
After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Jeff Granito was tapped by Disney to work on new art and merchandising, which you may have seen adorn the shelves of Disneyland’s Main Street shops if you’ve visited the park sometime in the past 20 years.
Now working as a freelance artist, this uber talented Tiki enthusiast has had the opportunity to produce amazing works of art and graphics for big time movie studios, including Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Fox, Nickelodeon, and dozens of other name brand companies. There’s so much more to say but I’m just gonna let his magnificent art doing the talking.
