8th Annual Halloween Haiku Challenge

I’ve thought a lot about whether to continue this event. Between increased use of ai, the increase in fraud and decrease in consumer protections, and the rising costs of just about everything, I’ve decided to hold the contest, but there will be no prizes this year. It’ll be for fun, laughs, and bragging rights only.

The theme this season has been Halloween carnival, but I will accept any haiku and seppai featuring Halloween, horror, or haunted themes.

The contest starts midnight on October 30th through Halloween day and a winner will be chosen on November 1st.

I hope the no prizes news won’t be too disappointing and that people will participate. I can’t wait to read your spooky haiku. Remember, you don’t need ai to be creative. You just need the courage to share a part of YOU!😊
