Fave Witch Movies

Good witches, bad witches, love witches, or scary witches, witches come in all variations. Whether you’re a new witch looking for guidance, an old witch looking inspiration, or not a witch at all, just someone looking for some spooky fun, here’s a list of my fave witchy movies and TV shows.

Happy Caturday – August

What goes into a good spell? Mugwort? Thyme? Bat Wool? Dragon’s Blood? Most witches know the first and best ingredient is your intentions. What are you trying to achieve? Focus on that. Your intention is what makes the spell powerful. The rest of the ingredients can come from your kitchen, your garden, the Apothecary down the street, it doesn’t matter where you get them, as long as your intentions are good. Remember, you get back what you put out. And don’t forget to write it all down for next time.

Witch Cat by Joao Vagner

Witch Cat by Joao Vagner inspires me to create some Halloween haiku with this month’s theme in mind.

Monthly Haiku Corner – August

Happy August! 30 days til the ‘Ber months and then, the real fun starts! I just returned from a great weekend at Midsummer Scream in Long Beach, where the Halloween spirit was alive and well! Stay tuned for my mini review and pics.

Here at Halloween Horror Haiku, we celebrate all things spooky every day, but this is the time of year where Halloween takes front and center. With that said, the theme this month is Witch’s Halloween Spellbook. Do witches truly have a spell for a great Halloween? I believe they do.

Haiku of the Week

Leviathan was a giant sea serpent from biblio and mythical times. Referenced in several texts across many different cultures, leviathan represents chaos and destruction. In Christianity, it’s considered the demon of deadly sin, who was eventually slayed by god. Our theme this month is creatures of the deep.

Haiku of the Week

Our theme this month is creatures of the deep. I spent the weekend watching sea creature movies and lamenting over the fact, that despite now having the technology, we still do not have an awesome modern-day Kraken movie. What up Mr. Speilberg, are you busy?

Monthly Haiku Corner – July

Happy July 4th! Believe it or not, there are still many spots in world’s oceans that have not been explored. We still do not fully understand ocean’s wildlife and what hidden dangers may lurk at the bottom of the deepest, darkest trenches of the sea. Our theme this month is creatures of the deep. Be careful where you swim.
