Haiku of the Week

pumpkin spice
excitement brews in the air
spooky season

Happy Friday the 13th

old world fears
new world superstition
friday the 13th

nighttime terrors
little souls full of dread
pumpkin lights

crisp apples
the orchard clears my mind
september walks

hostile strangers
kidnapped from your own bed
vacation nightmares

fresh pumpkin
halloween is coming soon
smiles return

familiar smile
pumpkins on the shelf
summer’s end

night whispers
listen to what they say
asking me to leave

sinister thoughts
dark voices never stop
save me from myself
